The Do's And Don't on What To Bring To College

Hey Guys! I just wanted to do something based on what I learned to take and not to take to when going away for college. I also thought it would be fun because school starting for some people.

1) My first thing is mainly for young women and women. That is make sure to bring clothes that fit the season you are in as well as things you can wear through at the year. Because most people are living in the dorms or smaller space than what you have at home. However don't bring your entire shoe and purse collection.

2) If you feel the need to bring books make sure you bring books that you have not read. You can also think about purchasing an e-reader so that you are not taking to much space. If you want to bring electronic things make sure you are thinking about downsizing on things. For an example if you are thinking about taking an MP3 player or another more portable devise to listen music on.

3) Bring bedding, towels, and other things you might need on daily basis. As well maybe thinking about purchasing bins that you can store under your bed. Because like I said you might be living in much smaller space than you are used to.

4) Make sure you bring things to decorate with, but don't over do it. There many affordable things that you can purchase once you get to school. Because you have to remember once you are done for the school year you might have to move out and take things home with you for the summer.

Everyone at Mythos Academy knows me as Gwen Frost, the Gypsy girl who uses her psychometry magic to find lost objects-and who just may be dating Logan Quinn, the hottest guy in school. But I'm also the girl the Reapers of Chaos want dead in wort way. The Reapers are the baddest of the bad, the people who murdered my mom. So why do they have it in for me? It turns out my mom hid a powerful artifact called the Helheim Dagger before she died. Now, the Reapers will do anything to get it back. They think I know where the dagger is hidden, but this one thing I can't use my magic to find. All I do know is that the Reapers are coming for me-and I'm in for the fight of my life.
How I rate it: 5 out of 5 stars
My thoughts: I feel like that this series just gets better and better. There was not about this book that I did not hate about. I really enjoyed the villain in this book.

Things I Have Been Thinking About

Well I decided to write to you about what I have been thinking about that is book related. Such as even though I do not like ebook formats I would much rather buy textbooks that way rather than regular format. I mean really why do I have to buy hundreds dollars worth of books that I only use a semester. Last semester I took this class where we did not even use the book and it cost me hundred and fifty dollars. I feel like I wasted my money on that book last semester. Another thing that I have been thinking is what is up with this whole Fifty Shades of Grey popularity. I mean I am not judging anybody who has read that book, but I personally feel like there is more to literature than just that book. Well thanks for reading my rant and I hope you enjoyed it.

New Book Review

Date of Publication: March 24, 2007
Pages: 496
Synopsis: When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder-much less a murder committed by tree teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Or was he a boy? This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know.
How I rate it: 4 out of 5 stars
My thoughts: It was well written and good character development. I am excited to read the next book in the series. The reason why I gave it four out five stars because some scenes in the book I felt were to drawn out. I hope that has gotten better as the series goes on.

An Overdue Book Review

I am so sorry it has taken me along time to read this book. First it was because I had a family emergency and second because I went on a trip. Well I hope you enjoy!

Title: White Jenna
Author: Jane Yolen
Publisher: A Tor Book, First published by Tom Doherty Associates.
Date of publication: August 28, 1990 was the first publication, January 5, 2004 was the second publication
Pages: 272
Synopsis: Jenna was the White Queen. Skada was the Dark Queen. She is bound to Jenna-the other half of Jenna's self. Drawn out of a mirror by a rite of magic, a "dark sister" is confined to the dark. She vanished in day light it is in this world the dark sisters wait for moonlight or lamplight to call them forth again. This is their story of myths turned real, ordinary people turned heroes, a land inside out by the coming of White Jenna.
How I rate it: 4 out of 5 Stars
My thoughts: I rate it 4 out of 5 stars because it had a bit more action compared to the last book. Somethings I liked was that it had fantasy, action, and some romance. I also liked the fact that the romance did not over coward the rest of the story. I liked the idea she had for the story. One thing though that occurred through out the book that I did not like is that she put myths, legends and stuff like that intertwined the story. I liked it, but it got boring because I wanted more of the story.

A New Book Review

Hey Guys! I have a new book review. The book is Lola and the Boy Next Door.  I know that it is not really a sequel, but it is a companion novel instead. Hope You Enjoy!

When Cricket a gifted inventor steps out from his twin sister's shadow and back into Lola's life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door.
How I rate it: 4 1/2 out of 5 stars
My Thoughts: Compared to Anna and the French Kiss I enjoyed this a little more. I feel like the characters are more relateable. I also feel like St. Clair redeem himself through my eyes. This is why I gave this book more stars compared to Anna and the French Kiss.

How I Discovered Reading...

I have been thinking a lot lately about what really made me like reading when I was younger. I said I was younger because I was older when I had discover my love for books. You see when I was young I had a hard time reading and I absolutely despise reading. As I got to my teens I had discovered that reading could be fun because it could be an escape from my world. I think my first book that I feel in love with was a book called Little Sister. The book is a fantasy book about Asian culture. I remember that I absolutely loved fantasy or action packed books the most. That is why I believe that reading has a power on its own because you can gain knowledge and as the saying goes: "Knowledge is Power." I hope you enjoyed something different to read.

Then an invisible archer in the Library of Antiquities decides to use me for target practice. And now, I find out that someone at the academy is rally a Reaper bad guy who wants me dead. I'm afraid if I don't learn how to live by the sword-with Logan's help- I just might die by the sword...
How I rate: 4 1/2 out of 5 stars
My thoughts: I really enjoyed this read. It only took me a day and a half to read it because it was so action packed. I only find that she went over a lot of stuff that she wrote in the first book, but it was much better than the first book.

A New Book Review

So I recently got asked from author Caron Rider to review a book. Can I say that it was a great honor to review her book. Well without further ado here is the book review. By the way I am changing some things about how I review it.

Title: Silver Knight
Author: Caron Rider
Publisher: CreateSpace
Date of publication: February 24, 2012
Page: 278
Synopsis: When seventeen-year-old recognizes an elderly priest in video on YouTube, she realizes hat reincarnation is real and that she's been alive before! Every night in her dreams, she relive her pas learning that it's kill or be killed. Now a bishop at the vatican whom she saved in another life calls on her once more. But when she arrives in Rome, she meets Alexander the man of her dreams! Through the centuries she has loved him...betrayed him...been killed by him. When she give him another chance or this time will she strike first.
How I rate it: 4 1/2 stars out 5 stars
My thoughts: I really enjoyed the book. I thought that the author brought the combination of paranormal romance with historical fiction brillantly. I thought that the characters were well written. Some thing that I wish though that was different was that the chapters were kind of long. It confused me when it was going back and forth with present and past events.

A random thought about what I won.

So the other day I was looking at my email and I notice an email from my school. I thought that was odd. Then I read my email and it said that I won something from an event that I attended at my school. I thought that was pretty cool. Then I went to pick it up and it was a stupid lanyard.
P.S. I don't even go to the school that I got the lanyard from.
